Neural Culture has moved! You can find new content here.

I’m experimenting with life as a PhD student. Read my lab book where I blog about my findings.

I’m interested in the brain and how it works. I’m researching the smallest proteins inside neurons whilst I write about the culture of academic research.

I have a Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) with Honours, and a Postgraduate Diploma (Science Communication) from the University of Queensland in Australia. Now I’ve ventured across the ditch to New Zealand to complete my Doctor of Philosophy (Neuroscience) at the University of Auckland.

‘Neural Culture’ throws neuroscience and communication into the same petri dish.

Follow my story and you will see inside the mind of this lab rat from the other side of the microscope.
